Flying High

She started flying

With her wings widespread

In the clear blue sky

So mesmerized, she was

Dreams of being oneself

Dreams of living wild

Came alive

Everyone saw her flying high

Oh! Her beauty everyone adored

Everyone dreamt of being her

Jealousy started to pound

Among the crowd, her name resounded

She was in the dreams of everyone

Never before had she been so busy

Never before had she been in so many dreams

Years gone by and times fly

She was never seen anywhere around

People wondered where she had been

Why had she only left the picture?

Of which no one had the answer

A man came by, gathered some people around

Explained the words of love, all so sound

He knew where she had been

In search of love, everyone said

But no one believed she had hung herself to death

Death!! Everyone exclaimed

Why would she die?

She had everything

Name, fame and yes the money

But money couldn’t buy him

He died in a pain, never imagined

So, she died along with him

Hung to death, leaving the picture

Carrying the black rose, said it was a fixture
